OUR HISTORY: The Wesleyan church has its roots in 19th century revivalism where we expect people to have an “hour of decision” and get “born again.”  Many of our churches were planted at the turn of the century in city missions where “Pilgrim Holiness” pastors preached the gospel and saw the lives of men and women totally transformed.  Evangelism is in the DNA of our church and in our denominational doctrine we use the word “inerrancy” when applied to Scripture.  The Wesleyan Church is a merger of several denominations over the years—one of the leading groups that merged was the “Reformed Baptists” of Canada.  Wesleyans are essentially a Warm-hearted Baptist-Wesleyan denomination. If you’re a Baptist you’ll love The Wesleyan Church—we’re exactly who you hope we are!
