Preaching Incarnation this Christmas?
We are
approaching the season where the incarnation often finds its way into preaching—you
know, time for the word-made-flesh sermon from John 1 and such. I wonder if anyone is bothered by this? What does it teach to preach about the incarnation while
telling the story of the birth of Jesus?
For instance,
when actually did the incarnation happen?
When actually was the “Word made flesh”? Did the incarnation happen at
Christmas or nine months before?
So,
what do you think?
