COME VISIT THE NEW HALLMARK STORE LOCATED NEAR YOU!
I have a funny thing I do
that I even get made fun of—I have what I call a “Hallmark store” in my basement.
I buy cards on sale or in bulk then
file them in plastic boxes according to the occasion. For example, the
local party supply store had a deal on their regular greeting cards. A whole aisle
of them were on sale three for 99 cents. I spent $21.00 for 60 cards—they
were valued at about $180! So I purchased
a box at a Wal-mart-type store—just one size up from the shoe box size and my cards
fit in there perfectly on their side. I have dividers in them too-- family
birthday, general birthday, thank-you's, blank, anniversary, baby, thinking of
you, sympathy etc...along with invitations I got at sidewalk sales for 10 cents.
So when I know of a baby that was just
born or am invited to a birthday party at the last minute I go to my nearest
Hallmark store--in my own basement!
