David Drury
David Drury looks at life with heart and humor. His writing ranges from the thoughtful
(Christian spirituality and service) to the funny (admiring rednecks and giving
birth to watermelons). His book The
Fruitful Life was released in 2005.
He is currently writing a historical fiction novel set in the time of 1st
Samuel found the Bible. He also enjoys
writing self-absorbed snooty paragraphs in the traditional third person
form. If you would like to publish any
of David’s work below you’ll find the appropriate information.

Outside of writing, David is a husband, father and the
Executive Pastor of College Wesleyan
Church. Prior to planting two new
churches in Indiana &
Illinois and serving as
Connections Pastor at Spring Lake Wesleyan
Church, David graduated from IWU and
studied theology at several schools in Boston, completing a thesis and a
masters degree at GCTS. Contrary to the beliefs of many of his
friends, he started new churches and studied theology on purpose, not as
penance for some grave crime in his past.
David and his wife Kathy were married in 1996. They
have three children, Maxim (2000), Karina (2003) and
Lauren (2005). If you want to get to
